The second quarter is upon us! Our students and staff continue to learn from each other with every new day. Collectively, our staff looks forward to continuing meeting all the needs of our students in partnership with our parents and guardians.
Please remember to check our WHMS website often as updates occur frequently throughout the school year.
-Morning tutoring begins Tuesday, 11/4 and will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:10-7:40 in the WHMS Library. WHMS teachers will be available to focus on closing students' data based foundational skills gaps and homework help. All WHMS students are welcome to attend!
-The Second Annual "MK5K" Walk/Race to benefit funding for the WHMS Scholastic Quiz Team will be on Sunday, November 23. We hope to see you there!
-The Hilltop Action Team (HAT) is raising money with the help of the Bon Ton Department Store in the Galleria Mall in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The Bon Ton Community Days are November 14 and 15, 2014. For a $5.00 donation you will receive a coupon booklet for $10.00 off one item and a 30% off another item, along with many other in-store deals for use during the Bon Ton Community Days. Order forms for coupon books are available on the HAT Page on WHSD.org, the HAT Facebook page and through the HAT Loop. Books will be sent home with children on Fridays or Mondays each week. For more information or if you are able to help sell a larger quantity of books, please contact Shannon Nicoloff at email@example.com.

Our Middle School staff remains dedicated to our students and you in helping make 2014-2015 a very successful and rewarding year for our entire school community! We will continue to adhere the guidelines of our building level and district level mission statements in meeting our students at their academic and social levels. Equally, we look forward to continuing to work with you and our students in maximizing their opportunities for growth and achievement.

The mission of the Westmont Hilltop Middle School is to create a nurturing and compassionate environment in which all students can learn in a mutually respectful partnership with our community by providing meaningful, appropriate, and varied learning experiences that maximize student success.
WHMS strives to provide a place for exploration where the student will have an opportunity to discover potential future roles in career, educational, and social settings as he or she matures socially, physically, and emotionally. This educational program must involve the students, school staff, parents and the community.
