ELA
In second grade, we have implemented a variety of programs to help students grow in the areas of reading and writing. Our primary ELA curriculum is Benchmark Advance, but we also incorporate word study and phonics resources including UFLI.
I will be sending home "This Week's Focus" packets every week. It will contain the unit theme, our essential question, spelling patterns, phonics skills, and some high frequency words. I will also be sending home a copy of the UFLI family pages. I have included QR codes so that your child can access the UFLI games we play at school for extra practice. These are a quick way to review our reading skills at home!
