SPEAKER – VOICE OF THE POEM


ASSONANCE – The effect created when words with the same vowel sound are used in close proximity


ONOMATOPOEIA – The use of words that imitate the sound that the poet is trying to describe


SIMILE – The explicit comparison of two objects/phenomenon/states etc - by employing either 'as' or 'like'


RHYME SCHEME – CONSTRUCTED ORDER OF RHYME


METAPHOR – A COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO OBJECTS FOR EFFECT
