WHSD Welcomes New Faculty

The Westmont Hilltop School District is proud to welcome several new faculty members to the Hilltopper family for the 2022-2023 school year.


Ms. Julie Baroni

Ms. Baroni has been hired as a Secondary Learning Support teacher.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is certified in both Art and Special Education.


Ms. Hannah Campbell

Ms. Campbell joins Westmont Hilltop as a districtwide certified Speech and Language Specialist serving students of all grades from Kindergarten through 12th.  She has earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.


Ms. Hannah Davis

Ms. Davis, a graduate of WHSD, will be working as a long-term Secondary Math substitute teacher.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The Pennsylvania State University and is certified in Secondary Math.


Ms. Rebecca Dernar

Ms. Dernar has been hired as a long-term substitute teaching Secondary English and Language Arts.  She has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University and is certified in Secondary English.


Ms. Nicole Edwards

Ms. Edwards joins the district as an Elementary Autistic Support teacher.  She holds an Associate’s Degree from Mount Aloysius College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Canyon University.  

Ms. Edwards has certifications in the fields of Elementary Education and Special Education.


Mr. Jordan Heinlein

Mr. Heinlein has been hired as a Secondary Social Studies teacher. He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and is certified in Secondary Social Studies.


Mr. Daniel Hutton

Mr. Hutton joins Westmont Hilltop as an Elementary Music teacher. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Music Education) and two Master’s Degrees from both California State University-Long Beach (Jazz Studies) and the University of Cincinnati (Jazz Studies).  He is certified in Music Education from Kindergarten through 12th grade.


Ms. Maureen Kalfas

Ms. Kalfas has been hired as a Secondary Life Skills teacher.  She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Kalfas is certified in the fields of Special Education, Reading, and Family and Consumer Sciences.


Ms. Rebecca McNeel

Ms. McNeel will work as a long-term Health and Physical Education substitute at Westmont Hilltop Junior-Senior High School.  She has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is certified in the area of Health and Physical Education from Kindergarten through 12th grade.


Mr. Logan Seybold

Mr. Seybold has been hired as a Secondary English teacher.  He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from St. Vincent College.  Mr. Seybold is certified in the fields of Secondary English, Secondary Social Studies, and Business, Computer, and Information Technology (BCIT).


Mrs. Jody Trotz

Mrs. Trotz joins the district as a Secondary School Counselor.  She has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a Master’s Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Trotz holds certifications in the fields of Secondary Math and both Elementary and Secondary School Counseling.
