Welcome to Second Grade!
Meet Ms. Albert!Hi! I’m Ms. Albert, and I’m so excited to welcome you to second grade!
I have been part of the Westmont community for several years, beginning my teaching journey as a long-term substitute in first grade before becoming a second-grade teacher. Second grade has such a special place in my heart, and I love watching my students grow in confidence, independence, and their love of learning throughout the year.
Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom to my daughter, Alayah. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, hiking, and exploring new places. I’m also involved in cheerleading, which has given me another opportunity to work with young athletes and encourage teamwork, confidence, and perseverance.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and am certified to teach grades K–4. I am currently continuing my education by working toward my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
My favorite part of teaching is creating a classroom where every child feels welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. I believe some of the best learning happens when children feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. My goal is for our classroom to be a place filled with kindness, curiosity, laughter, and lots of learning!
I feel very fortunate to be part of the Westmont community, and I’m looking forward to a wonderful year with my second graders!
