From the desk of Dr. Hobbs...
Dear Westy Families,
For the past 19 years, I have had the pleasure of working at Westmont Hilltop Elementary School. Meeting the needs of diverse learners is one of my top priorities!
As the data coordinator for our district, I spend a great deal of time analyzing current and historical assessment data and collaborating with teachers to share and discuss student strengths and opportunities for growth.
My experience in education began at Penn State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I also earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Clarion University and a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Administration from Point Park University. I am currently pursuing a second Master of Education in Special Education. I completed additional coursework to become a certified Reading Specialist and also earned a Gifted Education Endorsement and Principal Certification. These courses have enabled me to enhance my skill set and deepen my contribution to the district.
I hope to continue learning and sharing with students and teachers with the intent to improve our practice, increase our quality of education and effectiveness, and improve achievement for all students.
When I am not in school, I enjoy biking and running and spending time with my 2-year old English Setter, Fin.
