My name is Mrs. Nicole Cramer and I will be your child’s gifted support teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. I would like to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into my classroom. I anticipate an exciting year filled with valuable and applicable learning experiences. I am delighted to be a part of your child’s learning and will do my very best to support your child. I have met with Mallory Kupchella, the former gifted support teacher, with the goal of making this transition smooth for you and your child. I promise to give my very all to facilitate/teach, inspire, motivate, and encourage your child.
I am a proud graduate of Westmont Hilltop School District. I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I obtained additional certifications in Family and Consumer Science Education and Reading Specialist. I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My previous teaching experiences include one year in third grade, two years in fourth grade, and one year as a kindergarten through eighth grade Emotional and Behavioral Support Teacher. I am confident that my education and experiences will help to foster your child’s educational growth.
I believe that each child can achieve his/her fullest potential when provided with the appropriate supports and encouragement. Students flourish when educated in a welcoming, safe, and positive environment. My goal is to create a classroom climate where students develop a passion for learning and inquiry. Through the use of inquiry-based projects, interest exploration, hands-on learning, and advanced problem solving students will be appropriately challenged. I want students to realize their full potential and embrace their individuality while also respecting and being open to other perspectives and viewpoints. My goal is to have students leave my classroom confident in their abilities and with a vision to use what they have learned in real-life situations. Students will process information on a high level and be encouraged to tackle meaningful problems and pose defensible solutions.
The benefits of working in collaboration with families during their child’s educational process is insurmountable. We are a team, working together to support your child. I will communicate through your preferred method of communication. Please feel free to contact me with any comments, concerns, or questions. Your child’s education is my top priority. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (814) 255-8707. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your child.
