In second grade, we have implemented a variety of programs to help students grow in the areas of reading and writing. Our primary ELA curriculum is Benchmark Literacy, but we also incorporate word study and phonics resources including: 95% Group, LETRS (Language Essentials for Teaching Reading and Spelling), Heggerty, and ECRI (Enhanced Core Reading Instruction).
Benchmark Literacy provides eBooks for students along with additional online resources. Students can log in using their district credentials at the following link:
