Welcome Hilltoppers!
I would like to welcome all of our students, new and old, back for another year at #ourHomeontheHill! My name is Mr. Brocious and I am very excited to be back for another year! We are fortunate to have another year with TWO school counselors at the elementary school. I will be working with grades 4-6 and Ms. Deist will be working with grades K-3, BUT we are both happy to work with ANY student here at WHES!
For those who do not know who i am, I am Mr. Brocious, and I am an elementary school counselor. This will be my third year at Westmont Hilltop Elementary School. Prior to working at Westmont Hilltop I was a mobile therapist working with students between the ages of 5 and 15. I completed my undergraduate and graduate education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Education degree in School Counseling.
My goal at Westmont Hilltop Elementary School is to support all students in the areas of academics, social/emotional and career. This will be accomplished through classroom lessons, small group and individual counseling when needed and other responsive services. I will also be part of the clubs and organizations such as MTSS, PBIS, the attendance team and the Student Assistance Program (SAP) to supports students in various academic, career and social/emotional areas. I will also work as a 504 coordinator for students in the elementary school.
