Meet Mrs. Oswalt!

I am Amanda Oswalt and I've been teaching for 25 years...19 years in kindergarten!  I have a passion for kindergarten.  The amount of growth you see in a child during this first year of school is just unbelievable!  Your children will learn to read, write, add, subtract, and so much more.  Maybe even more importantly, your children will learn social skills, make friendships, and acquire tools to regulate emotions...skills that will help them be successful students and good citizens, as well!  The difference between an August kindergartener and a May kindergartener is truly astounding and I'm so honored to be a part of that journey.

I live here in Westmont Hilltop School District with my husband, Todd, and our daughters, Makenna and Addison, who are both in college (Thiel and Duquesne).  We love animals and have a house full of furry friends: 3 dogs and 5 cats!   We all have a love for all things Disney and love to visit the parks as much as we can.  When I'm not snuggling pets or dreaming of Disney, I'm reading, drawing/painting, attending classes at Redemption Fitness, or going to concerts when I can (I'm a huge Imagine Dragons/Coldplay fan!).  I also LOVE Pittsburgh Steelers football!

I'm excited to spend this year getting to know your child.  Please contact me through the Class Dojo app or my email ([email protected]) any time!
