Every three (3) years, each school district must develop and submit to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) a Special Education Plan, which becomes a part of the Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan, which encompasses Academic Standards and Assessment, Professional Education, Teacher Induction, Special Education, Educational Technology, and Student Services into one, will guide our continuous improvement efforts to identify future goals and improve educational opportunities and achievement for all students.
2018-2021 Plan Development
A committee of stakeholders is currently developing the Comprehensive Plan that will guide the district for the next three years. The Committee began meeting in April of 2017 and has completed its work in October of 2017. The Proposed Comprehensive Plan is now available as of October 16, 2017 for public inspection for a minimum of 28 days prior to Board approval on November 20, 2017.
The Planning Committee has met regularly and has produced a final draft of the plan. It has also reviewed student achievement data prior to developing goals and strategies. The final drafts of the mission, vision, and goals are as follows:
Unified in a commitment to inspire and to empower resilient, lifelong learners.
