Sophomores and Juniors interested in NHS should follow the guidelines below:
 
Scholarship: 
NHS students are committed to learning and growing on an educational path. It means making the most of the educational opportunities provided and seeking out learning, not only in school but personally.  NHS students maintain a 94% cumulative weighted grade point average.
 
Service:
NHS students voluntarily contributes to his or her school and community, done without compensation and with a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic spirit.
 
Leadership:
NHS students are leaders who are resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, idea-contributors, dependable, and persons who exemplify positive attitudes about life.  NHS students hold positions in organizations and teams or lead projects at the school or in the community. 
 
Character: 
NHS students uphold principles of morality and ethics, is cooperative, demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability, shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others and generally maintains a clean disciplinary record.
